Soft Playground Equipment

To create this child-friendly outdoor play space, we delivered a fully compliant and safe installation through the following steps:

Image 1 - Timber Obstacle Course with Green Safety Surfacing:

Site Preparation:
- The area was cleared of all existing debris and vegetation. The ground was levelled and compacted to form a solid base. We then created a base work installation was laid to provide durability and drainage. Edging was installed around the perimeter to retain the safety surfacing material, before any equipment was installed. To complete the surface, a high-performance green wet pour rubber safety surface was installed. This surface provides excellent impact absorption and meets safety standards for playgrounds.

Equipment Installation:
- A timber trail/obstacle course system was installed, including balance beams, rope crossings, and step pods. Each timber post was concreted into the ground to ensure maximum stability and safety. The site was thoroughly cleaned post-installation and a final inspection and set of compliance checks were carried out to ensure safety standard conformity.

This open-air swing zone was constructed to create an engaging and safe recreational area with long-lasting durability:

Site Clearance & Groundworks:
- The area was stripped back and cleared to existing substrate. Excavation was carried out to the required depth for base and surfacing works. A layer of stone was laid and compacted to form a stable base. Drainage considerations were taken into account to prevent water logging under the surface.

Swing Frame Installation:
- Modern, robust swing frames were erected and securely fixed into concrete footings. Basket-style swings were installed to allow for inclusive use by children of various needs and abilities thus, promoting inclusivity and ensuring this was fit for use by all.

Surfacing & Final Touches:
- A red impact-absorbing wet pour rubber surface was laid across the entire area. The surface depth was calculated to meet critical fall height (CFH) requirements for the installed swing equipment.

- A timber bench was installed nearby to allow for supervision and rest. The area was cleaned and visually inspected for safety and finish.

Both play areas were completed to the highest safety and compliance standards. All installations meet UK playground safety regulations and are suitable for educational, recreational, and public environments. These projects reflect our commitment to quality workmanship and child-safe outdoor development.
