Buildings of Interest
How we tackle projects involving buildings in conservation areas:
Buildings of Interest refers to structures that hold special architectural, historical, and cultural value. When undertaking any projects on these buildings, local city councils play a key role in protecting them. As many are listed buildings, which means they are legally recognised for their significance, city councils must manage and oversee planning applications involving these buildings, ensuring any changes preserve their character.
Here at TBS, we are well versed in working with buildings of interest located in conservation areas and have undertaken many projects, alongside planning officers and conservation teams, ensuring we remain commited to their goals. We understand the importance of safeguarding them and adhere to all requests and legislation set out by local councils to ensure that we best protect local heritage, maintain the unique character of towns and cities, and provide future generations with a tangible link to their past.
